Here's what we were working with - a dated single-sink vanity, flat strip lighting, basic flooring, and a tub-shower combo that had seen better days. Functional? Barely. Inspiring? Not even close. This homeowner was ready for something that actually matched how they wanted to use their space every day.
We touched just about everything in this bathroom. New plumbing and electrical, a full tub-to-shower conversion, new flooring, a barn door, and a double vanity with dual undermount sinks and matte black hardware throughout. When a remodel goes this deep, every trade has to be coordinated correctly - there's no faking it when you get to the finish work.
The tile work is where it really comes together. The vanity backsplash features vertically stacked stone-look tile that adds texture and depth without going overboard. It's the kind of detail that ties the whole room together. The shower surround keeps things clean with large-format white tile, built-in shelving, and a mounted bench seat - practical and sharp at the same time.
What we ended up with is a bathroom that works better and looks completely different than what was there before. The barn door adds a custom feel while saving swing space. The recessed lighting replaced that old strip fixture and actually lights the room properly. Every element was chosen to work together, not just look good in isolation.
Jobs like this are why we do what we do. When a homeowner has been living with an outdated bathroom for years and finally pulls the trigger on a full remodel, we want to make sure it's done right - from the rough-in work nobody sees to the tile lines everybody does.
